Elphi is a family coordination app. One person creates a checklist, another person confirms they've done it, and the people who need to know can see that confirmation.
This version replaces our earlier policy, which described the app before a significant change in how it works. Most importantly, that version said checklist contents were stored only on your device. That is no longer true, and this version corrects it.
Elphi is a reminder and checklist application. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Elphi does not provide medical advice, dosing guidance, or adherence analysis.
While you may choose to use Elphi to remind someone about medications or medical items, it is not a substitute for professional medical guidance, direct caregiver supervision, or emergency services. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions.
We do not guarantee that any reminder, confirmation, or escalation will be delivered, or delivered on time. Delivery depends on things outside our control — device settings, Do Not Disturb and Focus modes, network availability, iOS background limits, and the availability of Apple's and Google's notification infrastructure.
Elphi is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 911.
Checklist content is stored on our servers. This is central to how the app works: a checklist you create for someone else has to reach their phone, and their confirmation has to come back to you.
You choose what to type, and we store exactly that. If you name an item after a medication, that medication name is stored on our servers.
We recommend using the least specific description that still works for you and the person you're supporting — "morning meds" rather than a drug name and dose. This is a genuine recommendation, not a disclaimer: less specific content means less sensitive data everywhere it travels.
Please do not enter Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, passwords, or similar information into checklist items.
Elphi works by sharing information between people, and you should know exactly what is shared.
Only the person a checklist is assigned to can confirm it. Nobody — not even the person who created the checklist — can confirm on someone else's behalf.
If you don't want someone to see something, don't put it in a checklist that they can see.
Elphi has no health features. We do not connect to Apple Health or HealthKit, we do not ask for health information, and we have no medication, dosage, or adherence fields.
However, you may choose to type health-related information into a checklist item, and some people will — a medication name is a common example. When you do, that text is treated exactly like any other checklist content described above: stored on our servers, visible to the people you shared the checklist with, and never sold, never used for advertising, and never sent to an analytics or advertising service.
We do not analyze checklist content, infer anything about your health from it, or use it to build any profile.
If the app has a problem, we collect diagnostic information through Firebase Crashlytics to fix it. This includes device model, operating system version, app version, and the technical details of the failure.
Crash reports never include your checklist names, item names, or notes. This is not a default setting that could change — we do not pass any user-entered content to crash reporting, and we treat that as a fixed constraint on how the app is built.

We do not use your information to sell to third parties, display advertisements, build marketing profiles, share with data brokers, or analyze your health.
Text messaging is not yet available in Elphi. It is planned as a backup for when a reminder goes unanswered, and this section describes how it will work when it ships.
Elphi's text messages are strictly opt-in. Each user enables them inside the Elphi iOS app (Settings → Text Message Reminders) by entering their own mobile number and checking a consent box. Consent is never collected on someone else's behalf. See how SMS opt-in works.
If you opt in, Elphi sends reminder and escalation text messages to the number you provide. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for assistance. You can also turn texts off inside the app at any time, which stops all messages immediately.
SMS opt-in consent and phone numbers are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
To delete your account and associated data, email us at the address below and we will process the deletion. In-app account deletion is not yet available; we are building it, and this policy will be updated when it ships.

Elphi is intended for people 13 and older. It is a general-audience app, not directed to children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an Elphi account, please contact us immediately and we will delete the account and its associated information.
